Position Overview
The Outreach Director provides strategic leadership for statewide outreach initiatives, ensuring strong community engagement, partnership development, and growth in service utilization. This role oversees a team serving multiple regions and is responsible for developing systems that track outreach activities, partnerships, and department outcomes.
This position collaborates closely with organizational leadership and cross-departmental teams to support coordinated messaging, effective community presence, and alignment with organizational priorities. Regular in-person presence at multiple office locations is required.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute annual outreach strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Establish departmental objectives, KPIs, and tracking systems for outreach and partnerships.
  • Lead, support, and develop a team of outreach professionals across regions.
  • Oversee statewide community partnership efforts, including healthcare, tribal, and service organizations.
  • Coordinate internal and external outreach requests and ensure high-quality execution.
  • Manage outreach data reporting, budgeting, and fee-for-service growth opportunities.
  • Represent the organization in community settings as delegated.
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Work, Human Services, Nonprofit Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in outreach, community engagement, or related fields.
  • 3+ years of staff supervision experience.
  • Demonstrated success in strategic planning and partnership development.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Experience working with diverse or rural communities preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check.

Work Environment
  • Primarily office-based with required in-person presence at multiple sites.
