A growing Anchorage-based construction services company is seeking an experienced Estimator/ Project Manager to oversee asbestos abatement projects from bid through closeout. This role is responsible for estimating, regulatory compliance, field coordination, and profitable project deliver across residential, commercial, and public-sector across Alaska.
Your day-to-day:
Estimating - The Estimator/Project Manager will prepare accurate and competitive asbestos abatement estimates; conduct site walks and review asbestos survey reports, develop detailed cost breakdowns for labor, equipment, disposal and compliance; prepare bids for private, municipal, and government-funded projects, and assist with change orders and scope revisions.
Project Management - The Estimator/Project Manager will manage projects from award through completion; coordinate crews, supervisors, subcontractors, and equipment; develop and manage project schedules; monitor budgets, job costing, and labor hours; handle project closeout documentation and billing.
Regulatory & Safety Compliance – The Estimator/Project Manager will ensure compliance with ADEC, EPA, NESHAP, and OSHA requirements; coordinate notifications, permits, and waste manifests; enforce company safety policies and jobsite procedures.
Client & Stakeholder Coordination – The Estimator/Project Manager will act as primary point of contact for clients, inspectors, and consultants; communicate project status and resolve field issues.
We’re looking for:
- 3 + years of experience in asbestos abatement estimating and/or project management.
- Strong knowledge of asbestos regulations and abatement methods.
- Experience preparing bids and managing active abatement jobs.
- Ability to read plans, specifications, and asbestos surveys.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency with estimating software and job-costing tools.
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
- Alaska Asbestos Supervisor certification
- Experience with public works or government projects
- Familiarity with Alaska-specific regulatory requirements
