COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR - Range 14 / AMEA

HOURS OF WORK: Tuesday thru Saturday 8am-4:30pm
LOCATION: 632 W 6th Avenue
Remote work schedule opportunities (telecommuting) may be considered after successful completion of probation, at the discretion of management and with the approval of the department head. Not all positions are eligible for remote work (telecommuting) per P&P 40-40.

Example of Duties
Under general supervision, this position is responsible for representing the Parks and Recreation Department through strategic marketing and public relations approaches through print and social media and for the development and coordination of volunteer programs to support municipal services and parks and recreation programs and activities.
Minimum Qualifications / Substitutions / Preferences
High school diploma, GED or equivalent and six (6) years of experience in the field related to the position.
OR
Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, Finance or similar discipline and four (4) years of experience in the field related to the position.
OR
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, Finance or similar discipline and two (2) years of experience in the field related to the position
A valid State of Alaska Driver’s License at time of hire.
