Job Information
These positions are represented by the Public Employees, Local 71 and are subject to the provisions of the current agreement between the Municipality of Anchorage and Public Employees, Local 71.
DEPARTMENT: Parks and Recreation
HOURS OF WORK: Shifts vary Monday through Sunday according to maintenance needs, conditions, and seasons
LOCATION: 12001 Business Blvd, Suite 123, Eagle River

Example of Duties
This position maintains parks, sports facilities, outdoor recreation facilities, trails and municipality owned grounds. Assist with various events. Winter duties may include, but are not limited to maintaining ice rinks, ski trails, park equipment, and removing snow from trails, parking lots, and roadways. Summer duties may include, but are not limited to collection of litter, mowing turf, cleaning and repairing bike trails, repairing playground equipment, vandalized parks, and maintaining sports fields. Requires knowledge of light equipment and small tool operation. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications / Substitutions / Preferences
Three (3) months experience in lawn, landscape, trails, construction, grounds, or facility maintenance.
Must posses a valid State of Alaska Driver’s License with satisfactory driving record at time of hire.
