Open to the general public and any current Municipal employee.
This is a non-represented position (no union affiliation) and is subject to the provisions of the Personnel Rules of the Municipality of Anchorage.
DEPARTMENT: Public Transportation
HOURS OF WORK: Monday & Friday; 2:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. Saturday & Sunday; 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. (hours may be adjusted depending on operational needs)
LOCATION: 3600 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue
**Starting pay does not exceed the midpoint of the displayed pay range**

Example of Duties
Under the supervision of the Transit PM Operations Superintendent, lead day-to-day transit operations activity. Activities include, but are not limited to logistical support, accidents, detours, schedule adherence; supervision of dispatch specialist(s) and bus operators; responsible for bus operator work assignments, daily timecard and scheduling comparison, ensures accuracy of activities are recorded in appropriate software, files, etc.
Minimum Qualifications / Substitutions / Preferences
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent and eight (8) years of transportation operations or logistics experience, two (2) years of which must have been in a supervisory, lead , or administrative capacity.
OR
Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Computer Information Systems, Civil Engineering, Logistics, Planning, or similar discipline and six (6) years of transportation operations or logistics experience, two (2) years of which must have been in a supervisory, lead, or administrative capacity.
OR
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Computer Information Systems, Civil Engineering, Logistics, Planning, or similar discipline and four (4) years of transportation operations or logistics experience, two (2) years of which must have been in a supervisory, lead, or administrative capacity.
A valid State of Alaska Driver’s License with satisfactory driving record at time of hire
