Job Information
Open to the general public and any current Municipal employee.
This position is represented by the Anchorage Municipal Employee Association (AMEA) and is subject to the provisions of the current agreement between the Municipality of Anchorage and the Union.
DEPARTMENT: Finance
HOURS OF WORK: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
LOCATION: City Hall - 632 W 6th Ave Anchorage AK 99501
Remote work schedule opportunities (telecommuting) may be considered after successful completion of probation, at the discretion of management and with the approval of the department head. Not all positions are eligible for remote work (telecommuting) per P&P 40-40.

Example of Duties
Perform entry-level professional appraisal work of real or personal property through the routine application of appraisal techniques to determine the value of property. Learn and apply traditional and mass appraisal techniques. Perform field inspections of properties for inventory and validation purposes. Collect and analyze market information to determine property value. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications / Substitutions / Preferences
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Business or Public Administration, Business Management, Engineering or a related discipline and experience in real estate sales or management, construction management, engineering, comprehensive planning, accounting, banking, business management, or a related field.
OR
Associate’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Business or Public Administration, Business Management, Engineering or a related discipline and two (2) years of experience in real estate sales or management, construction management, engineering, comprehensive planning, accounting, banking, business management, or a related field.
OR
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent and four (4) years of experience in real estate sales or management, construction management, engineering, comprehensive planning, accounting, banking, business management, or a related field.

· Valid State of Alaska Driver’s License with satisfactory driving record at time of hire.
· Satisfactory background check which includes criminal, education, and employment history at time of hire.
