Job Information
Open to the general public and any current Municipal employee.
This is a non-represented position (no union affiliation) and is subject to the provisions of the Personnel Rules of the Municipality of Anchorage.
DEPARTMENT: Public Transportation
HOURS OF WORK:40 hours per week, Thursday/ Friday 04:30 - 15:30 Saturday/Sunday 06:45 - 17:45
LOCATION: 3600 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue

Example of Duties
Provide guidance and direction to support day-to-day transit operations, Key duties include, but are not limited to; assign bus operator work assignments, check-in bus operators to ensure fit-for-duty compliance, detours, coordinate on-route complications
and potential emergency situations. Responsibilities require extensive use of radio, phone, transit specific and non-specific software, face-to-face interaction, and monitoring of surrounding activities. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications / Substitutions / Preferences
High school diploma, GED or equivalent and six (6) years of experience in the field related to the position.
ORAssociate’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, Finance or similar discipline and four (4) years of experience in the field related to the position.
ORBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, Finance or similar discipline and two (2) years of experience in the field related to the position.
All applicants must possess or obtain
- A Valid State of Alaska Driver's License
- Satisfactory national criminal background investigation
- Current Copy of your Department of Motor Vehicle driving record
