TDL Staffing is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant for a full-time position in Anchorage. This role supports a busy medical office by providing direct patient care, clinical assistance, and administrative support. The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, and compassionate—someone who communicates clearly, stays organized in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering quality patient care.
In this position, you’ll work closely with providers and other medical staff to ensure patients receive timely, attentive, and efficient care. The right candidate will bring a strong sense of teamwork, flexibility, and professionalism to every interaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Escort patients to exam rooms and record vital signs, height, and weight.
- Collect and prepare patient information, records, and test results for the provider.
- Process patient calls and messages, documenting and prioritizing requests appropriately.
- Schedule appointments and medical procedures; assist with or chaperone procedures as needed.
- Provide patient education regarding medications, self-care, and wellness as directed by the provider.
- Maintain organized and well-stocked exam rooms, ensuring supplies are current and clean.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to support scheduling, reports, and patient flow.
- Communicate professionally with pharmacies, insurance companies, and outside providers.
- Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and safety standards while maintaining a clean, professional work environment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential required.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a medical office, with at least one year in a clinical setting preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, clinical protocols, and confidentiality standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, EHR Intergy, and other office software.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Background screening is a part of the hiring process for this position.
- Support a drug free work environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Ability to type 60 words per minute and maintain accurate, timely documentation.
- Competence in triaging calls and scheduling efficiently.
- Detail-oriented, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
