Security Officer
As a Security Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our staff and students. You will be responsible for patrolling, monitoring security systems, and responding to incidents or emergencies as needed. Additionally, you will enforce school policies and regulations, provide assistance to students and staff, and uphold safety standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure the physical security of buildings and property by checking doors, windows, lights, electrical appliances, equipment, locks, and emergency equipment. Maintain log of findings and corrective action taken.

Assist in reception functions and maintaining the visitor control area. Act as switchboard operator as required.

Assist in the coordination of transporting ill or injured students as required.

Respond to fire alarms, take necessary steps to report fires, assist in suppressing fires, and reset fire alarm equipment.

High school diploma or equivalent.

One (1) year experience with an organized security department, law enforcement agency, or experience with security duties.
- Successfully pass a background check and drug test.

Valid driver’s license, with an acceptable driving record.
SCHEDULE, COMPENSATION, and BENEFITS:
Hours: 3:00pm-12:00am or 11:00pm-8:00am (days off vary).
Position Type: Full-Time, 40 hours/week
Classification: SCA
Compensation: $18.14/hour plus an additional $4.57/hour (up to maximum of 40 hours per week) used to offset the cost of elected benefits
