Superintendent Dr. Jharrett Bryantt will highlight exciting opportunities for students which are being designed to enrich their educational experiences and empower their life readiness through new career pathways, academies, and internships. The community expressed a desire that graduates are prepared to enter the workforce, and this model was created to meet that need. The Next Generation Workforce will be made be up of bright and capable individuals having the necessary skills to support a growing economy. Dr. Jharrett Bryantt joined the Anchorage School District (ASD) in the summer of 2022 as Superintendent. Prior to joining ASD, Dr. Bryantt served as the Houston Independent School District’s Executive Officer of Talent, leading critical human resources functions for more than 27,000 employees. During his nine years at Houston ISD, he served in numerous capacities, including Assistant Superintendent. Dr. Bryantt holds doctoral and master’s degrees in education leadership and policy from the University of Texas at Austin, and a Bachelor of Science from Yale University. He currently serves on the board of Junior Achievement of Alaska, the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce board of directors, and Anchorage Economic Development Forum Investor’s Council.

Registration is due by 5 pm the Thursday prior, but please RSVP at your earliest convenience. A $2 fee will be added to all walk-in registrations, and available seating is not guaranteed. CANCELLATION NOTE: For a full refund, registration must be canceled by 5 pm the Thursday prior. No refunds will be given after this date. If you do not arrive by 12:00 pm, your seat will be forfeited. All registrations are transferable to another person upon your request.
