Built for Alaska: Tundra Testing Officially Opens for Environmental Laboratory Services
Tundra Testing is proud to announce that we are officially open and accepting clients for environmental laboratory and analytical testing services across Alaska.
As a Veteran-owned and led, SBA certified business, Tundra Testing was built from a belief that Alaska deserves stronger local access to environmental laboratory resources and technical support. Too often, critical testing depends on outside systems, shipping timelines, and resources far removed from the realities of operating here in Alaska.
In a state where weather, distance, and timing can shift entire projects and communities, waiting on answers from elsewhere is more than just an inconvenience - Alaskans absorb this cost first, in real time, while the resources and industries the rest of the country relies on move forward.
That is why we built Tundra Testing.
From the beginning, we built this company with local needs in mind. And to better understand where the gaps actually existed, we spent time speaking with people across industries and communities from large-scale development and infrastructure projects to smaller community-focused work, and environmental remediation efforts.
These conversations did but more than just shape our laboratory, location, and procedure list, it reinforced a consistent request across all industries. As development grows and land use changes accelerate, the demand on existing systems to quickly respond to community safety continues to increase at a rate faster than these systems can support.
Our field-to-lab approach was created to shorten this distance. Keeping samples, data, and communication moving efficiently from collection to analysis without unnecessary loss of time or integrity.
Reaching this point represents years of planning, training, investment, and persistence. Like many businesses built in Alaska, Tundra Testing reflects the spirit of hard work, adaptability, and commitment that defines this state. We understand what it means to operate in remote environments, support critical infrastructure, and serve industries that help keep Alaska self-sustaining for future generations.
As we begin this next chapter, we are deeply grateful to everyone who supported the vision, encouraged the process, and helped us reach this milestone.
We’re here to listen. We’re here to adapt. And we’re here to build something resilient alongside the community we serve - and we’re just getting started.
