This is a non-represented position (no union affiliation) and is subject to the provisions of the Personnel Rules of the Municipality of Anchorage.
DEPARTMENT: Information Technology
HOURS OF WORK: Monday through Friday 8 am - 5 pm
LOCATION: City Hall - 632 W 6th Ave, 4th Floor
Employees who are hired or rehired to any position shall be placed at the entrance pay step, and advancement from the entrance step to the maximum step within a pay grade shall be by successive steps.

Example of Duties
The Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Human Capital Management (HCM) Functional Analyst will leverage Human Resources (HR) expertise to support system testing, provide ongoing support, and adhere to change management protocols for HCM modules. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting and resolving reported issues, updating system tables, assisting with testing, and maintaining comprehensive documentation for modules such as Organizational Management (OM), Personnel Administration (PA), Benefits (BN), Time (TM), Payroll (PY), and Self-Service (XSS). This position will also collaborate closely with the ERP HCM Technical Analyst and ERP HCM Systems Manager to gather, document, and translate business requirements/processes and solutions for HCM modules. The role involves working with business partners to understand their needs, drafting detailed specifications for business processes, and ensuring final solutions align with documented requirements. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications / Substitutions / Preferences
High school diploma, GED or equivalent and eight (8) years of experience in the field related to the position.
OR
Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or a related discipline and six (6) years of experience in the field related to the position.
OR
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline and four (4) years of experience in the field related to the position.
OR
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, a related discipline and two (2) years of experience in the field related to the position.
