Licensed Counselor (LPC)
Vitae Integrative Medical Center is intentionally expanding our mental health team. We are a collaborative, integrative practice offering primary care, mental health services, acupuncture, and ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) in one setting. We are looking for dynamic and forward-thinking mental health professionals who are passionate about making a positive impact on individuals' lives. We are currently seeking a Licensed Professional Counselor.
Position Overview:
At Vitae Integrative Medical Center, you will play a pivotal role in providing compassionate and comprehensive mental health care to our diverse patient population. Your role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, implementing therapeutic interventions, and collaborating with our integrated healthcare team. Your expertise will contribute to our vision of becoming the preeminent integrative medical clinic in the state, where each client enjoys a personalized and exceptional medical experience that fosters a sense of belonging.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Care:
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide individual, family, and group therapy using evidence-based modalities.
- Offer crisis intervention and risk assessment when needed.
- Educate clients on coping strategies, emotional regulation, and mental wellness.
Collaboration & Coordination:
- Work closely with nurse practitioners, medical providers, and holistic health professionals to provide integrated care.
- Coordinate with external resources, including social services, psychiatrists, and community programs, as needed.
Documentation & Compliance:
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, state licensing regulations, and clinic policies.
- Participate in case consultations, staff meetings, and professional development.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
- Active Alaska LPC license
- Experience working with diverse populations and various mental health conditions.
- Proficiency in CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, or other evidence-based modalities.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR)
