Full Charge Bookkeeper
Alaska Power Association is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our Finance and Administration team. This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting core accounting functions including payroll, accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
This role reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and works closely with other team members to ensure smooth financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed asset systems
- Perform bank, investment, and account reconciliations
- Prepare semi-monthly payroll and related reporting
- Generate financial reports and assist with budget development
- Maintain organized filing systems for financial records
- Support the CFO with financial analysis and reporting projects
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree with accounting coursework preferred
- Minimum of 3 years bookkeeping experience, preferably in the financial industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience with Acumatica or similar accounting software preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
