MODERATOR:
John BIttner, State Director of the Alaska SBDC, oversees seven regional centers to ensure that the SBDC provides accessible, high quality business assistance services to individuals and existing businesses. In his role he provides program management, advocacy and fundraising in addition to serving as the Lead Investigator for the various grant programs that are run through AK SBDC. Bittner formerly was the Vice President at the Anchorage Economic Development Center (AEDC). Bittner also served as the Deputy Commissioner for the Alaska Department of Commerce, Community and Economic Development.

Lisa L. Cauble, M.S.W., Director, Alaska Training Cooperative (AKTC), UAA College of Health - Center for Human Development Ms. Cauble received her Masters in Social Work in 2005 from the University of Alaska Anchorage and completed a post-graduate Certificate in Social Work Management in 2007. Her skill areas are in behavioral health, program planning, leadership, team building, conflict resolution & group facilitation, budget development as well as coordination and implementation of program activities. She was employed in Homer, AK as a direct care provider (respite provider, skills trainer and case manager roles) working with children, teenagers and adults experiencing both a developmental disability and mental illness for three years prior to moving to Anchorage to attend graduate school in 2003. In the role as Director for the last eight years of the Alaska Training Cooperative (AKTC), Ms. Cauble continues to lead and facilitate a renewed AKTC, now in the program’s 11th year. She was one of the original developers of the AK Training Cooperative’s Learning Management System (LMS), which is a web-based tool that offers a one-stop shop for various types of distance delivered training opportunities and worked with the AKTC as a lead Behavioral Health Training Coordinator for over two years between 2007-2009.
