In his role he provides program management\, advocacy and fundraising in addition to serving as the Lead Investigator for the various grant programs that are run through AK SBDC. Bittner formerly was the Vice President at the Anchorage Economic Development Center (AEDC). Bittner also served as the Deputy Commissioner for the Alaska Department of Commerce\, Community and Economic Development. \n\n \n\n\n\nPANELISTS:\n\n\n\n\n\nLisa Wedin is the Program Manager for the UAA Center for Corporate and Professional Development. In this role she manages open enrollment and customized professional development trainings. She partners with the brightest talent from the community and the university to develop training that ensures the professional workforce has the skills they need to advance professionally and organizationally. Before coming to CCPD she worked for 10 years at the UAF Cooperative Extension Service managing community\, small business\, and workforce development programs. She holds a Master of Science in Career and Technical Education from UAA. In the role as Director for the last eight years of the Alaska Training Cooperative (AKTC)\,\n\n \n\n\nGloria Burnett is the Director of the Alaska Center for Rural Health & Health Workforce\, Alaska's Area Health Education Center (AHEC) Program. As the Director\, Gloria is tasked with coordinating statewide efforts into a single stream of data relying on longitudinal tracking of participants. She has been extremely successful leveraging partnerships with like-minded organizations such as the Alaska Native Science & Engineering Program (ANSEP). Gloria holds a Master of Science in Instruction\, Bachelor of Art in Psychology and Instructional Technology Specialist Certification. She has been Director of Alaska's AHEC Program for over 3 years. Prior to her current role\, Gloria served as the Founder and Director of the Northwest AHEC in Barrow for 3 years before transitioning to the Dean of Students position\, both at Ilisagvik College. She has a keen understanding of healthcare and education in rural Alaska and she places great value on community involvement in programming.\n\n\n\n\nLisa L. Cauble\, M.S.W.\, Director\, Alaska Training Cooperative (AKTC)\, UAA College of Health - Center for Human Development Ms. Cauble received her Masters in Social Work in 2005 from the University of Alaska Anchorage and completed a post-graduate Certificate in Social Work Management in 2007. Her skill areas are in behavioral health\, program planning\, leadership\, team building\, conflict resolution & group facilitation\, budget development as well as coordination and implementation of program activities. She was employed in Homer\, AK as a direct care provider (respite provider\, skills trainer and case manager roles) working with children\, teenagers and adults experiencing both a developmental disability and mental illness for three years prior to moving to Anchorage to attend graduate school in 2003. In the role as Director for the last eight years of the Alaska Training Cooperative (AKTC)\, Ms. Cauble continues to lead and facilitate a renewed AKTC\, now in the program's 11th year.
