"Make it Monday" Forum Luncheon - Waste-to-Energy: A viable solid waste and energy solution for Anchorage

The Municipality of Anchorage (MOA) is advancing planning for a Waste‑to‑Energy facility to manage municipal solid waste while generating local, reliable energy.
The facility is envisioned to process ~1,000 tons/day of waste and generate ~20–30 MW of electricity, with potential for district heat export.
A siting study is in-progress. Approximately 30 sites are currently being evaluated by a range of criteria including size, zoning, access to utilities and transportation infrastructure, and distance to residential.
The project supports long‑term waste management, energy resilience, and landfill life extension (potentially 80–100+ years).

CANCELLATION NOTE: For a full refund, registration must be canceled by 5:00 PM the Thursday prior. No refunds will be given after this date. If you do not arrive by Noon, your seat will be forfeited. All registrations are transferable to another person upon your request.
