"Make it Monday" forum - Alaskan Entrepreneurship: Advantages and Obstacles

There are several Municipal, State and Federal initiatives providing unique opportunities for Alaskan entrepreneurs, such as the 49th State Angel Fund, crowdfunding/crowdsourcing, the AEA’s Emerging Technology Fund, Startup Weekend, Hackathons and Maker Faires.
 
Lucinda Mahoney, chief financial officer for the Municipality of Anchorage; Jon Bittner, director of business/ economic development at the Anchorage Economic Development Corporation; and Allen Johnston, chief encouragement officer of The Entrepreneurs and Mentors Network Inc. (TEAM Network) will discuss the above initiatives, as well as other local resources/funding sources available for local entrepreneurs and inventors.
