"Make it Monday" forum - Alaska's Unions
The AFL-CIO envisions a future in which work and all people who work are valued, respected and rewarded. While the AFL-CIO represents millions of working people who belong to unions and have the benefits of union membership, the labor federation embraces all people who share the common bond of work.
The Alaska AFL-CIO, established in 1943, is the state's largest labor organization, representing 50,000 union members belonging to over 50 affiliated unions statewide. They also strive to represent the interests of workers not represented by unions.
This presentation by Joelle Hall, President of AFL-CIO, will discuss the structure of the Alaska AFL-CIO, and the role and relevance of discuss union apprenticeship. Discussion will also cover the leadership role of AK AFL-CIO leadership in workforce development, policy, and advocacy.

She is a proud member of UFCW, Local 1496. She has a long resume of political experience from running extensive issue campaigns to heading up the efforts of the AFL-CIO labor program.
