"Make it Monday" forum - Alaska's Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS)
Between the pandemic, inflation, and workforce shortages, the economy has been a wild ride recently. The Statewide Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) can help us navigate these challenges and define a path toward a stronger, more resilient economy. It's a strategic plan for the economy of Alaska, at a time of uncertainty as well as opportunity.
Nolan Klouda, CEcD - Executive Director
As Executive Director, Nolan provides overall leadership for the University of Alaska Center for Economic Development (UA CED), as well as support for other programs of the UAA Business Enterprise Institute. Prior to taking his current role in 2014, Nolan served as Associate Director. Nolan’s areas of professional interest include feasibility analysis, rural economic development, entrepreneurship programming, and public policy. He is a Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) through the International Economic Development Council, and serves on the Municipality of Anchorage Budget Advisory Commission. Nolan was named to Alaska’s “Top 40 Under 40” in 2015. He holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Kansas and a Bachelor of Arts, History and Political Science from Gustavus Adolphus College. He lives in Anchorage with his wife Michelle, daughter Cecilia, and son Winston.
The Anchorage Chamber is committed to creating and providing an environment where our members feel comfortable, but also have the freedom to do business. We will continue to follow the latest guidance from the CDC and the Anchorage Health Department. We encourage everyone, regardless of vaccination status, to wear facial coverings when not actively eating or drinking. Masks and hand sanitizer will be provided at all in-person events, and we ask that you keep your distance from others. Please stay home if you feel sick or have been exposed.
