TRICK OR TREAT FISH CREEK BRINGS HALLOWEEN FUN TO BELOVED TRAIL
Neighbors Gather in Costume for Community Connection

ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Anchorage Park Foundation (APF) invites members of the media to the annual Trick or Treat Fish Creek. Hosted by the Spenard Community Council, with the support of organizations like the Anchorage Park Foundation, the event offers family-friendly fun on Halloween along one of Anchorage's most popular trails.
Visitors can expect fun booths and activities, costumes both cute and spooky, and live performances of fire dancing and juggling. Hundreds of community members attend every year, snow or shine, making it one of the largest events on Fish Creek or Ch'atanaltsegh.
This year's celebration marks several milestones for the creek including the new indigenous place name at the Fish Creek Estuary, construction starting next summer to connect the Fish Creek Trail to the Coastal trail, and a brand new mural at Kiwanis Fish Creek Park by Holly Nordlum.
“It is amazing to see how many costumed neighbors come out to connect and celebrate on our incredible trail system. Anchorage is a trails town, and the daytime costume viewing in Spenard is second to none,” said Beth Nordlund, Executive Director of APF.
