ANCHORAGE, Alaska — This month, Tommy’s Express Car Wash is transforming its facilities into a spine-chilling adventure with its Tunnel of Terror experience. On Friday, Oct. 25, and Saturday, Oct. 26, guests can roll through the fright-filled wash from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. and drive away with a sparkling clean car, Halloween treats and a fright unlike any other they have ever experienced.

Tommy’s Express’ one-of-a-kind Tunnel of Terror, which it hosts at its over 200 locations around the country every Halloween season, is a new way for friends and family in Anchorage to have a haunted house experience from the comfort of their vehicle. As vehicles enter the tunnel, guests are met with a dimly lit and eerie scene, enhanced by haunting music that sets the stage for a frighteningly fun experience. Team members and volunteers dressed as creepy clowns, scary zombies and more, lurk both inside the tunnel and outside the wash, ready to surprise and scare cars full of guests as they pass through. 

Tommy’s Express opened its doors to Anchorage in September 2024 and is dedicated to being an active part of the local community. The Davis family, the driving force behind Anchorage’s Tommy’s Express, is committed to providing exceptional service while also engaging in community initiatives and partnerships, supporting local events and organizations. This October, the Tunnel of Terror will serve as a fun and festive way to bring families together. 

Tommy’s Express welcomes guests of all ages, but the Tunnel of Terror may not be suitable for young children or those who scare easily. Any guests with questions are encouraged to call the wash ahead at 907-600-7017 to determine if the Tunnel of Terror is appropriate for their group. 

Although Tommy’s Express has a reputation for providing a quick, premium quality wash in under three minutes, longer wait times are anticipated on Tunnel of Terror nights due to high demand. To enhance guests’ experiences, the Tommy’s Express team has implemented measures to ensure a thrilling and smooth event, from the car line to the moment they exit the haunted tunnel.

No advance reservation or tickets are needed to experience the Tommy’s Express Tunnel of Terror. Admission is free to all Tommy Club Members. The cost for non-members is $35 per vehicle for a trip through the haunted tunnel and a clean, shiny and dry car. All event guests will receive Tommy’s Express’ top-level wash package, “The WORKS.”
