Food Bank of Alaska invites the community to join this year’s Trick or Eat Food Drive throughout the month of October. Trick or Eat is an annual event organized by Alaska English Adventures that collects non-perishable food items to support Food Bank of Alaska’s statewide network.
Businesses, schools, community groups, and individuals are encouraged to host food drives and help stock shelves before the holiday season. In past years, donation barrels have been placed at Planet Fitness, Cook Inlet Tribal Council, Anchorage Senior Activity Center, and many other local organizations and schools. Each barrel filled translates into meals for Alaskans facing hunger.
“This event is a fun and impactful way to celebrate the season while giving back,” said Leo Artola, Food Donation Coordinator of Food Bank of Alaska. “By rallying together, our community ensures that families have access to food when it’s needed most.”
To participate, sign up at foodbankofalaska.org/food-drive. Please specify that your group is hosting a Trick or Eat Food Drive. For more information on specific barrel locations and this year’s schedule, contact Alaska English Adventures or Food Bank of Alaska.
