ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Rasmuson Foundation welcomes Issa Spatrisano to its strategy group as a Program Officer. In this role, Spatrisano will support the Foundation’s strategic grantmaking, foster meaningful partnerships, and help implement solutions that reflect the ideas and aspirations of Alaskans.

Spatrisano brings over a decade of experience in refugee resettlement and community engagement. Most recently, she served as Alaska’s State Refugee Coordinator, managing more than $20 million in federal grants and overseeing a statewide network of sub-awardees. 

“Issa brings a deep understanding of systems and a heart for community,” said Tasha Pineda, vice president of strategy. “Her experience working in partnership with diverse communities and her thoughtful approach to statewide collaboration will be a tremendous asset to our team and the Alaskans we serve.”

Spatrisano’s background includes a Master of Education in Teaching and Learning from the University of Alaska Anchorage, with a focus on serving diverse adult learners, and a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from Western Michigan University.

At the Foundation, she joins a team committed to empowering Alaskans with community-driven solutions.
