ANCHORAGE, Alaska. January 31, 2025 - Quality Screens celebrates its 40th year in business this year with a Ribbon Cutting at its location in Midtown Anchorage. 

This January, Quality Screens is proud to celebrate its 40 Year Anniversary with a Ribbon Cutting hosted by the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce. Founded in 1985, the business has been repairing and building custom window and patio door screens for the Anchorage community and the neighboring areas, from Girdwood to the Valley and beyond. The company has provided screen services for several hotels and service a variety of apartment complexes and condominiums.

When asked why the 40th anniversary of the company is so significant, current owner Shon Dozark stated, “For a variety of reasons, many businesses close their doors after 5, 10, and even 20 years. To be celebrating 40 years of business, I think it really shows our connection with the community, as without their support, we would not be here today. I feel very grateful to be part of something that has played a strong and important role in our community for 40 years and I am honored to provide a quality product and service for our fellow Alaskans.”

His partner Melissa Apone said this about the future of the company: “I’m excited about not only the growth of the business and the personal growth that comes with it. As the business evolves, it also forces you to evolve with it and that self development aspect helps me to know who I want to be.”

The business is currently led by owner Shon Dozark, primary manufacturer of screens, and his partner Melissa Apone, who manages the administration, marketing, and growth. The team is supported by an office administrator and seasonal contractors who specialize in custom screen fabrication.

The Ribbon Cutting ceremony hosted with the Anchorage Chamber will take place at Quality Screen’s storefront on Dawson Street in Midtown Anchorage. Local business partners, customers and neighbouring businesses will be in attendance to celebrate this momentous occasion with the company.
