Goodwill Industries Disaster Relief Efforts ''Round-Up Campaign” to Support the American Red Cross for the 2025 California Wildfires
Goodwill Industries of Lane and South Coast Counties and Alaska (Goodwill) will join the community to provide assistance for individuals affected by the devastating wildfires in California.
Beginning Thursday, January 16th and running through Wednesday, January 22nd, Goodwill will conduct a Round Up campaign for the American Red Cross and donate contributions made at any of its stores located in the following states/cities:
ALASKA: Anchorage and Wasilla
OREGON: Brookings, Cottage Grove, Eugene, Florence, Junction City, North Bend, Springfield
Individuals can contribute by rounding up their purchase or simply walking in and making a donation at any register.
“The American Red Cross has been busy deploying responders to disasters across the country, including the devastating fires in California. We are so grateful for partners like Goodwill, who help us provide the best service delivery. Financial donations truly are the best way to support people experiencing disaster because their needs are unique and can change at a moment’s notice,” says Red Cross CEO Priscilla Fuentes. “By contributing a financial donation, you are allowing the Red Cross to put that donation to work where it’s needed most. A donation to Goodwill will help with relief supplies like cots, blankets, lost prescription medications, and meals and snacks. We have been partnering with Goodwill for years and appreciate our collaboration with them.”
Libby Steffen-Schafermeyer, spokesperson for Goodwill: “Our hearts go out to those impacted by these devastating wildfires in California and we hope the donation of funds raised by our generous communities in Oregon and Alaska will assist the Red Cross Cascades Region with meeting the immediate needs of those affected.”
