Anchorage, AK – The Anchorage Community Development Authority (ACDA) proudly announces that the Anchorage Assembly approved a lease agreement to redevelop the 3rd & Ingra property into a seasonal RV Resort featuring an Alaska Native Memorial and Indigenous Garden.

This transformative project, led by ACDA, will activate a long-vacant parcel in the heart of Anchorage by creating a welcoming destination for travelers, a space for cultural reflection, and a new venue for community events. In partnership with the Municipality of Anchorage’s Parks and Recreation Department, ACDA will help program the site with public activities that celebrate local heritage and connect residents and visitors with Indigenous knowledge, art, and storytelling.

“This project honors the past while building something meaningful for the future,” said Mike Robbins, Executive Director of ACDA. “We are creating a place where people can gather, learn, and enjoy Anchorage in a way that reflects our identity and values.”

The RV Resort will offer essential amenities for travelers while incorporating cultural design elements and green space that highlight Alaska Native contributions to the region. The Indigenous Garden and Memorial will serve as a contemplative public space, developed with input from Native community partners.

Construction is scheduled to begin later this year, with the first phase anticipated to open in Summer 2026.
