Collin Hodges, AICP Joins R&M’s Planning Department
Collin Hodges, AICP has joined R&M CONSULTANTS, INC. (R&M) as a Senior Planner in the firm’s Planning Department. In this role, Collin will support transportation, land use and community planning projects throughout Alaska, bringing expertise in active transportation, transit, Complete Streets, Vision Zero, zoning and comprehensive planning.

He brings a unique combination of technical expertise, community-focused experience and a passion for Alaska that aligns well with our mission. Collin’s knowledge and leadership will strengthen our team and enhance the value we provide to our clients.”
Collin returns to Alaska after spending the past six years on the East Coast, where he worked on transportation and community planning projects throughout the country. Prior to leaving Alaska in 2020, he worked for the Municipality of Anchorage as a Senior Planner and Transit Planner, contributing to land use and zoning initiatives, the Anchorage 2040 Land Use Plan and the redesign of Anchorage’s public transit system. Collin’s more recent experience includes leading multimodal transportation projects and working with municipalities, metropolitan planning organizations and state agencies across the country.
With 15 years of planning experience, Collin specializes in multimodal transportation, land use and community planning. He has strong technical skills in GIS, data analysis and data visualization, as well as experience managing complex projects, leading multi-discipline teams and engaging stakeholders to develop practical, data-driven planning solutions that improve mobility and connectivity in communities.
“I was drawn to R&M by the opportunity to work with great people on interesting projects at an employee-owned firm,” said Collin. “I look forward to contributing to projects that improve our communities, here in Anchorage and throughout the state.”
Collin has a Master of Urban & Regional Planning from the State University of New York at Albany and a B.A. in History from New York University. He is an American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certified planner and a member of the American Planning Association. Outside of work, Collin enjoys running, reading, hiking, backpacking, camping, Nordic skiing, cooking, traveling and spending time with friends.
