Manager of Volunteer Resources
Food Bank of Alaska is seeking a full-time Manager of Volunteer Resources to lead and support the organization’s volunteer program.
This position plays an important role in connecting community members with meaningful opportunities to support hunger relief across Alaska. Volunteers are essential to Food Bank of Alaska’s work, helping sort and pack food, support warehouse operations, assist with programs and participate in major community events such as Thanksgiving Blessing and CANstruction.
The Manager of Volunteer Resources is responsible for volunteer recruitment, training, scheduling, supervision, tracking and recognition. This role works closely with departments across the organization to ensure volunteers are effectively engaged and supported in ways that strengthen Food Bank of Alaska’s programs, operations and community impact.
The ideal candidate is organized, people-centered and comfortable working in both office and warehouse environments. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to coordinate multiple priorities and a commitment to providing excellent customer service to volunteers, staff, partners and community members.
The current Manager of Volunteer Resources will remain with Food Bank of Alaska through August, allowing time for training and transition.
Position: Manager of Volunteer Resources
Status: Full-time, non-exempt
Pay: $25-$30 per hour, depending on experience
Reports to: Chief Philanthropy Officer
