Overview:
Future Elder (Fe), an Alaska Native and woman-owned full-service brand marketing and communications firm headquartered in Anchorage, Alaska, seeks a video production coordinator/assistant editor (VPC) to support our video production department. This individual will embody company values and enthusiastically support our brand purpose. While we support local and national clients across a wide variety of industries, our primary areas of focus are health, cultural communications and social justice.
As a production coordinator/assistant editor, you will be responsible for supporting the video production team and ensuring all projects are completed on time. You must be able to communicate effectively with clientele and staff, prioritize and multi-task a variety of projects and deadlines, and pay close attention to detail.

Requirements:
- MUST be in Alaska, preferably in Anchorage, and have ability to be in-office and on location multiple days of the week.
- Desire to want to travel throughout Alaska, with minimal travel required outside of Alaska.
- Some weekend and evening work may be required.
Responsibilities:
- Produce and implement production procedures
- Maintain and grow a talent bank
- Provide audio production support
- Manage production support for all clients as needed
- Participate and take notes during video production meetings
- Ensure all media projects are completed on time
- Manage projects from inception to completion
- Facilitate communication between clients, executives, and creatives,
- Plan and execute video productions by coordinating talent, props, schedules, and more
- Assist the senior digital video editor with postproduction as needed
- Provide custom audio for clients as needed
Qualifications and Key Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Video/Film Production, Cinematography, or similar area of focus
- Professional production experience, e.g., with a production company, corporate marketing department, or marketing/advertising agency
- Knowledge and skills in preproduction, production and postproduction with a working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and After Effects
- Working knowledge of modern cinema cameras and related technology
- Fundamental knowledge of lighting, audio, frame composition and technical video settings (e.g. formats, codecs, frame rates, bit rates) and a willingness to learn
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office products
- Strong organizational and communication skills (both written and oral)
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Ability to absorb and apply constructive criticism from peers and clients
- Attention to detail
- Ability to travel for production; ability to work outside of regular office hours for special projects, if needed
- Deadline-focused and flexible under fluctuating workload
- Professional and presentable attitude and appearance
- Portfolio of work samples provided through a link or attachment
