EMPLOYMENT SERVICES COORDINATOR (Personnel Analyst I) - Range 12 / NON (3 Vacancies)
Job Information
Open to the general public and any current Municipal employee.
This is a non-represented position (no union affiliation) and is subject to the provisions of the Personnel Rules of the Municipality of Anchorage.
DEPARTMENT: Human Resources- Employment Services Division
HOURS OF WORK: Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
LOCATION: City Hall, 632 W 6th Avenue
Example of Duties
Maintain the data integrity of the ERP system, including validation and auditing, with current and retroactive detailed data entry ensuring accuracy. Responsible for onboarding packet entries and notifying the Employment Specialists of any discrepancies. Maintain employee personnel records with applicable documents (hire paperwork, termination, transfers, and promotions) and conduct various types of research as requested/necessary. Track certifications and licenses as part of the conditions of continued employment, and request current documents. Regular tracking to ensure ongoing federal compliance with citizenship and employment laws (I-9s). Daily management of the Employment/Records email inboxes and receiving and sorting out mail. Provide in person customer service and assistance to customers at the records window. Answer and dispatch calls. Provide department Directors with employee date information regarding review dates, merit dates, probations, temporary and seasonal employees. Audit and maintain incentive pays for accuracy, including the maintenance of the supporting documentation for the incentive pays. Validate accuracy of pay rates, acting pay/working out of class. Provide unions with active employee reports on a biweekly basis. Provide timely and accurate information in response to requests from the public, other departments, and employees. Communicate with departments regarding current and retroactive employee pay changes. Process SAP PA workflow forms. Issue, audit, &
maintain MOA badges. Present employee orientation. Manage the Service Award Program. Other related duties as assigned.
Additional Information:
This position is a public facing front desk position that assists both employees and external customers in an open office setting while completing a wide variety of job duties. This position also provides in-person orientation presentations on a weekly basis.
Minimum Qualifications / Substitutions / Preferences
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent and four (4) years of human resources experience.
OR
Associates degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline and two (2) years of human resources experience.
OR
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline and human resources experience.
Preferences:
Previous HR Records Management experience
Strong customer service skills
Microsoft suite intermediate user skills
