Inventory Receiving Coordinator

Principal Responsibility: The Inventory Receiving Coordinator is responsible for maintaining inventory counts and quality control procedures for incoming consigned merchandise. Duties include unloading delivery trucks, or client vehicles, and checking incoming shipments against invoices or contracts, organizing, and storing merchandise.
 
Position is:  Hourly                                                             Reports to Intakes Manager  
Position Supports: Auction Curator, Intakes Manager, and Cataloging Department
 
The Inventory Receiving Coordinator is Responsible For:

  1. Receives items at the auction warehouse and verifies the quality and quantity of all items received; and immediately reports discrepancies or damage to the client, Auction Manager, and Intakes Manager.
  2. Record all items received on appropriate forms.
  3. Assist with the collection and transport of items from off-site locations to the APAA warehouse as directed.
  4. Carefully and accurately maintain the inventory tracking system to ensure items are stored in a safe and organized manner.
  5. Optimize space utilization in the warehouse without compromising safety or risking damage to consigned merchandise.
  6. Follow APAA policy for the storage of special items such as combustibles, firearms, jewelry, precious stones, and minerals.
  7. Transports materials in the warehouse by forklift, hand truck, cart, or other conveyance as required.
  8. Keep the Intakes Bay, warehouse, and any other storage areas free of garbage, debris, snow, and ice. 
  9. Assist the Intakes Manager with sorting and lotting items.
  10. Performs other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
  1. Must be able to complete various activities in the department that may require hours of lifting, sorting, standing, sitting, and carrying.
  2. Must be able to walk up and down stairs and climb ladders.
  3. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.alone, or greater weights with assistance.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  1. Receive and sort incoming consigned inventory.
  2. Box or containerize inventory by the seller.
  3. Store inventory on designated shelves.
  4. Good written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Strong sense of time organization and urgency.
  6. Able to work independently and within a team.
Minimum Qualifications
  1. 1-year inventory control/management.
  2. Ability to communicate effectively and address.
  3. Ability to read and interpret documents and craft letters, memoranda, invoices, company policies, and various.
  4. Proficiency in MS Office and/or Google Workspace Applications.
  5. Valid Alaska driver's license.
  6. Ability to pass a background and reference check.

Occasional overtime is required.

Schedule:         M-F, 9a-6p, 1-Hour Unpaid Break for an 8-Hour Shift
Experience:      MS Office/Google Workspace applications for one year (Preferred)
