This position is represented by the Anchorage Municipal Employee Association (AMEA) and is subject to the provisions of the current agreement between the Municipality of Anchorage and the Union.
DEPARTMENT: Maintenance & Operations
HOURS OF WORK: 40 hours per week. Monday thru Friday 8am-4:30pm
LOCATION: 4333 Bering Street
Remote work schedule opportunities (telecommuting) may be considered after successful completion of probation, at the discretion of management and with the approval of the department head. Not all positions are eligible for remote work (telecommuting) per P&P 40-40.

Example of Duties
Position is responsible for performing a variety of administrative tasks associated with the Fleet Services Division. Tasks include but are not limited to public interaction, database upkeep, research and analysis of issues associated with fleet functions, file upkeep, payroll assistance, commercial fueling system administration, wash system administration, purchasing and payment functions, vehicle licensing, accident tracking, and library maintenance. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications / Substitutions / Preferences
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent and two (2) years of experience in office clerical work.
OR
Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business, Computer Information Systems or similar discipline and experience in office clerical work.Valid State of Alaska Driver's License and satisfactory driving record at time of hire.
Satisfactory background check which includes criminal, education, and employment history at time of hire.
