Dr. John Nofsinger is the William H. Seward Endowed Chair in International Finance at the College of Business & Public Policy, University of Alaska Anchorage. He is one of the world’s leading experts in behavioral finance.
Professor Nofsinger has authored/co-authored ten finance trade books, textbooks, and scholarly books that have been translated into eleven languages (Arabic, Bulgarian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, Thai, Turkish, and Vietnamese). His book, The Psychology of Investing, is in its 5th edition and is popular with investment advisors. As such, John is a frequent speaker on this topic, presenting 50 times at practitioner associations, industry conferences, businesses, and individual investor associations.
John is a prolific scholar who has published in multiple disciplines. He has published 53 articles in prestigious scholarly journals and practitioner journals. He is most widely known in the area of behavioral finance and has recently been working in socially responsible finance.
Dr. Nofsinger is often quoted or appears in the financial media, including The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Fortune, Business Week, Smart Money, Money Magazine, Washington Post, Bloomberg, Nightly Business Report (NBR), and CNBC , and other media from The Dolans to TheStreet.com.
