Young Professionals at the Assembly: Housing in Anchorage
Rising rent and mortgage costs are shaping whether young professionals can afford to live, work, and build a future in Anchorage. On October 6, the Anchorage Assembly will discuss the city's housing initiative, and the Anchorage Chamber Young Professionals Group invites you to join us in the chambers.
Young professionals are among the least represented voices in local decision-making. Showing up is one of the simplest ways to change that.
Good to know:
- The meeting starts at 5:00 PM, but the first hour is typically procedural. Plan to arrive around 6:00 PM or later for public comment and the housing discussion.
- You don't need to testify to make an impact. Being in the room shows the Assembly that our generation is paying attention.
- There will be time for public comment, and we encourage everyone to speak up and share their concerns.
- Come and go as your schedule allows. Meetings can run late.
Open to all. No registration required.
