Virtual Monday forum - A Lawyer, a Lender, an SBDC Expert, & a CPA Walk into a Webinar

RISQ Consulting, in conjunction with the Anchorage Chamber, understands that the CARES Act impacts all areas of your business, which is why we are bringing together a team of local experts. This 90-minute webinar will be a Q&A with a local attorney, a lender, a Small Business Development Center representative, and a CPA. Each expert will present briefly on must-know information and pitfalls relevant to their area of expertise.
The webinar primarily will focus on questions surrounding the following:
• Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) - The CARES Act allocated $350 billion to help small businesses keep workers employed amid the pandemic and economic downturn. Included in the CARES Act was the Paycheck Protection Program, which provides 100% federally guaranteed loans to small businesses, through Jun. 30, 2020.
• SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loan- Another option for small businesses is the SBA’s existing Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) Program, which was expanded by the CARES Act and provides for longer-term loans with favorable borrowing terms, through Dec. 31, 2020.
We understand the CARES Act is new law with many programs and regulations within. We intend to focus on the pieces that are specific to small businesses, and will not be focusing on the following:
• Employee Retention Tax Credit
• Large business provisions (500+ employees)
• Healthcare, education, individual taxpayer facets
• Expansion of unemployment benefits
• Retirement plans
We encourage you to submit your questions to our panelists ahead of time, by typing them in the box provided when you register for the webinar.
