Public Open House #5 for the Seward to Glenn Connection Planning and Environmental Linkages Study Refined Alternatives
The Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities (DOT&PF) is holding a fifth public open house to share refined alternatives for the Seward to Glenn Connection Planning and Environmental Linkages (PEL) Study after receiving over 200 comments this spring. The public open house is on Tuesday, December 10, at the Anchorage Senior Activity Center in Fairview from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. A public comment period will run from December 10, 2024, through January 23, 2025. This study will identify and evaluate options to improve safety, livability, regional travel between the Seward and Glenn Highways, and local travel within the surrounding neighborhoods. In spring 2024, the Seward to Glenn Connection PEL Study team presented preliminary alternatives and, after hearing public comments, are presenting five refined alternatives. Can’t make the meeting? No problem! View all materials presented at the meeting at our online open house, available December 11, 2024 – January 23, 2025, at www.sewardglennconnection.com via the public involvement page.
