"Make it Monday" forum - Set Up Shop: Empowering Neighborhood Entrepreneurs
The presentation will address strengths and gaps in small business services in Anchorage, leading to an introduction of Set Up Shop (www.setupshop-ak.com), a new program through ACLT targeted to low-income and minority entrepreneurs.
Set Up Shop provides training, lending, technical assistance, and eventual real estate consultation for entrepreneurs who are unable to access traditional services and financial products. Kirk will share how this program can partner with the business community, and how this is a proven method for revitalizing low-income neighborhoods and empowering entrepreneurs to transform their lives.

- Yaso Thiru, Director, Institute of Business and Public Policy, Alaska Pacific University
- Laura Revels, Set Up Shop Entrepreneur, Anaaski Kawoot owner & operator
