"Make it Monday" forum - Celebrating 10 years of Fire Island Wind, and looking ahead to the next 50 years of CIRI
CIRI’s vice president of energy, land and resources will share the impacts of 50 years of operations in Anchorage and beyond, including an in depth look at the past ten years of operations of the Fire Island Wind project. Settle will share successes and challenges, along with what is next for the Anchorage-based Alaska Native Corporation.

As CIRI’s vice president of Energy, Land and Resources, Suzanne Settle is responsible for expanding investments in U.S. power infrastructure as well as in oil, gas and mineral resources by promoting responsible development on CIRI’s vast portfolio of Cook Inlet land holdings. She joined CIRI in 2009, leading a team that built an energy portfolio consisting of wind power, gas storage, natural gas combined-cycle power, and resource development investments in both the Cook Inlet and Nenana basins of Alaska .
Settle holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from the University of Texas at Austin, a Master of Administration in finance, with an energy focus, from the University of Houston and completed the Alaska Native Executive Leadership Program at Alaska Pacific University in May 2019. Settle previously served as the director, energy resources for Chugach Electric Association, a partner at Enchanted Rock Capital LLC and Enchanted Rock Holdings LLP, worked as a financial trader with Kinder Morgan and an asset manager with Dynegy. Settle also serves as an elected board member representing business constituents for Renewable Energy Alaska Project (REAP) since 2015, where she has served on the executive committee, chaired the policy committee and served on the finance committee. Settle also serves as the vice chair of the Railbelt Reliability Council and as a director of the Resource Development Council.
