"Make it Monday" forum - Anchorage's Seniors & the Economy
In the past ten years, there has been a 52 percent increase in Anchorage’s senior population with local and visiting seniors contributing an estimated $1.46 billion into Alaska’s economy.
Ella Craig with the Anchorage Senior Citizens Advisory Commission; Lynda Meyer, Senior Services Coordinator with the Anchorage Department of Health & Human Services; and Denise Knapp, coordinator with the new Anchorage Senior Friendly Project, will discuss the trends seniors are having on Anchorage’s economy, how businesses can participate in the Senior Friendly Project and ways the city will adapt and change to a growing senior population in the years to come.
