In 2016 Kristin and Kyle decided to invest in the Marijuana industry, something they knew little about at the time. Three years, much capital, a huge learning curve and much hard work later they have a successful business employing 33 people full time in Isidore (cultivation), AK Rime (manufacturing) and AK Frost (retail).

Jane B. Stinson, along with her 2 children, Leah and Evan Levinton own Enlighten Alaska, a cannabis retail store located at 2600 Spenard Rd. Enlighten Alaska opened on February 2, 2017 and plans to apply for cultivation and manufacturing licenses within the Municipality of Anchorage. Jane is a strong advocate for marijuana normalization. She is a member of the Anchorage Cannabis Business Association and a board member of the Alaska Marijuana Industry Association.

Steve Voth has been an Alaskan resident for 38 years. He is the owner and lead grower at BAM Alaska cultivation, as well as co-owner of House of Green, a retail cannabis store in Anchorage, Alaska. BAM Alaska has been cultivating cannabis for about 2 years in Anchorage, and recently opened a second cultivation facility in Wasilla. BAM Alaska’s goal is to provide Alaska’s consumers with the highest quality boutique flower in the state. Steve formerly worked in the construction industry for about 11 years, after moving from the Midwest in the early 80’s. Prior to running a cultivation and store front, Steve owned and operated a successful tourism business in Denali.

Jana Weltzin was born and raised in Fairbanks, Alaska. Ms. Weltzin focuses her legal practice on land use and zoning law, medical marijuana law in Arizona and recreational marijuana business law and regulation compliance in Alaska. Ms. Weltzin provides representation for her cannabis clientele relating to business structure, permitting/licensing, land use applications and hearings, conditional use permits, investment connections and presentation, regulation compliance, real estate commercial leasing and purchases, operations, and general activism for the cannabis industry.

Ryan works as a Senior Planner under the Current Planning Division of the Municipality of Anchorage’s Planning Department. In this role he is responsible for land use policy analysis and implementation, land use entitlement review, GIS services, as well as, overseeing the municipal marijuana special land use process.
