Diversity Committee: Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated
Join us for an engaging and inspiring event as we explore the rich history, powerful legacy, and foundational principles of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®(AKA), the first historically African American Greek-lettered sorority established in 1908 at Howard University.
Through telling experiences from Alaska's Xi Psi Omega Chapter, historical highlights, and meaningful conversation, attendees will learn how Alpha Kappa Alpha has shaped communities locally, nationally, and globally for more than a century.
Whether you are interested in history, leadership, community service, or learning more about the Sorority’s influence and contributions, this event offers a welcoming space to celebrate culture, heritage, and lasting impact.
We invite members, friends, and community guests to join us in honoring a legacy that continues to inspire generations.

Come learn. Come celebrate. Come be inspired.

The diversity committee's mission is to better serve and advocate for the business community by becoming a more open, inclusive, and diverse organization reflective of the make-up of Anchorage. To accomplish this we envision a board that reflects the demographics of our city and a growing membership of businesses representing the diversity of our business owners and entrepreneurs.
All members and non-members are welcome to attend and share ideas to advance our diversity mission. If you'd like to present at a future meeting, please email diversity@anchoragechamber.org.
