As the President & Chief Executive Officer of Visit Anchorage, Julie Saupe manages the organization’s mission to drive economic and social progress through the promotion of Anchorage and its surrounding communities. They lead efforts to represent diverse areas—including Girdwood, Eagle River, and Portage—before the global traveling public. In this capacity, Julie Saupe oversees complex destination marketing strategies, fosters collaboration between local businesses and hospitality partners, and works to ensure that tourism remains a sustainable engine for diversifying and developing the local economy.
Julie Saupe holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Puget Sound, graduating in 1987. This academic foundation provided the critical thinking and communication skills essential for navigating the complexities of destination marketing and community relations.
