Anchorage Waldorf School (AWS) invites the community to its 2026 Annual Fundraising Gala, Wings of Wonder, an evening celebrating creativity, connection, and the school’s mission to develop compassionate, creative, and resilient students, while raising essential funds for AWS programs, tuition assistance, and community initiatives.

This year’s gala features a headline live performance by Blackwater Railroad Company, one of Alaska’s most beloved homegrown bands, known for their dynamic performances and deep roots in the local music scene. The band is proud to support AWS, whose students are immersed in music and movement from a young age through school plays, Eurythmy, orchestra, and choral studies, foundations that help nurture the next generation of musicians in a gentle, supportive learning environment.

Guests can expect an evening filled with artistry, celebration, and community, including a curated silent and live auction, locally sourced cuisine, and opportunities to learn more about the lasting impact of Waldorf education in Anchorage. As Board President Shane Kingry shares, the gala is both a critical fundraiser and a night of inspiration, storytelling, creativity, and connection, values shared by both AWS and Blackwater Railroad Company.
