Alaska Railbelt Carbon Capture and Storage Project Listening Session
Join Alaska Railbelt Carbon Capture and Storage researchers from the University of Alaska Fairbanks Institute of Northern Engineering for a listening session on carbon capture and storage.
The researchers will share what they have observed so far through more than a year of work at the northwestern Cook Inlet, including geology, storage potential, and key findings to date. The ARCCS project is an ongoing feasibility study focused on CO2 transport and underground storage, and what that could mean for energy planning across the Railbelt.
Hear directly from researchers leading the study and take part in a discussion grounded in what has been studied and learned to date. As decisions about energy supply, cost, and reliability take shape this is an opportunity to understand the science behind a key part of one of the options being considered.
