Age Smart: Love in the time of Covid-19 with Sheila Shinn
This session will examine the topic of intimacy in relation to growing older. How does intimacy change as we age? Do we ever outgrow this need? What happens if we end up alone? Where do we meet new people, especially during a pandemic? How do we keep ourselves safe from predators, especially in online relationships? Join us as we probe the nature and need for intimacy. Our guide for this discussion will be Sheila Shinn, former Director, Geriatrics & Gerontology Initiatives at University of Alaska Anchorage, and current Director of the Alzheimer’s Resource of Alaska’s Supporting Southcentral Alaskans with ADRD’s and Intellectual Disabilities project. Sheila brings deep knowledge and compassion in her work with and for older Alaskans.
