2024 Military Appreciation Picnic

Anchorage Chamber Military Appreciation Event.

We're back with our combined BBQ and picnic, ready to serve 4,500+ military personnel and their families. 

We are actively looking for picnic volunteers! If you do not have base access and would like to volunteer please register for the event, further details will be provide as we get closer to the event. Due to the anticipated number of attendees expected, we need several volunteers to make this event successful, please contact events@anchoragechamber.org to coordinate a group.  
For 30 years, we've closed Military Appreciation Week with a bang! To make our appreciation for the military bigger than ever, with free food and great music on Friday, June 7, 2024 at Buckner Fields.

 That means a picnic AND a concert for all military members and their families. The picnic is held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at JBER- Richardson at Buckner Fields.

The Anchorage Chamber works closely with JBER, USO, ASYMCA, and other organizations to provide a variety of fun, family-friendly activities during the picnic. This year, we're hoping to include face painting, playground activities, basketball, volleyball, and of course music to close the night out.

This event is full of food, music, and fun for the entire family. Each year the Anchorage Chamber solicits nearly 150 volunteers to serve over 6,000 local service members and their families.
