IMIG Audio Video has supported live events across Southcentral Alaska for over 50 years. We are a full-service provider of audio, video, lighting, and AV rental services for corporate meetings, conferences, conventions, and special events. The Position
We’re seeking reliable and motivated Audio-Visual Technicians to join our live event production team. This is a project-based role offering full-time hours during the busy seasons (spring and fall) and a lighter schedule during the summer months. You’ll work on-site at hotels, convention centers, and event venues throughout Anchorage, setting up, operating, and striking AV equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate audio, video, and lighting systems for live events
- Configure and run mixers, microphones, projectors, and display systems
- Build and manage signal flow using SDI, XLR, and Ethernet cabling
- Troubleshoot and maintain AV equipment during events
- Load, transport, and return gear safely and efficiently
- Communicate clearly with clients, event coordinators, and teammates
- Maintain professionalism, safety, and quality standards always
- Prior experience in live event production, stagehand work, or AV setup preferred but not required
- Strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Working knowledge of audio mixers, video systems, or DMX lighting a plus
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs, crawl under stages or climb ladders, and work flexible hours (early mornings, nights, weekends)
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure
- $20–$23/hour DOE
