Elizabeth Pierce, Quintillion Founder & CEO, is leading the development of the Anchorage-based company's project to bring fiber optic capacity to the North American Arctic for the first time. Pierce’s agenda to eventually connect Europe to Asia with a diverse fiber optic cable route, via the Lower Northwest Passage and the Alaskan Arctic, blends technical and organizational skills with her drive and determination. Pierce has decades of experience managing operations and developing new markets for technology, power and telecommunications businesses. She holds a degree in Electronic Engineering Technology with additional degree studies in Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Strategic HR Management and Management Studies. Pierce has served in management and executive roles in the Alaska telecommunications industry for over eighteen years and, prior to that, worked on the NORAD radar systems in Canada and Alaska in both engineering/technical and management roles. Pierce was recently appointed by Federal Communications Commission Chairman, Ajit Pai, to Chair the newly created Broadband Deployment Advisory Committee.
