Did you ever have a great idea for an airport concessions and are too afraid it might fail?  What creates a great opportunity and how do you get started? Come join us at the “Make it Monday Forum” for everything you need to know about airport concessions.

Speaker: Javier O. Robinson, C.M., Concessions Manager, Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport

Javier joined the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport in May of 2006.  He oversees all aspects of ANC’s concessions from planning, developing and building the concession program.  His responsibilities include negotiating new contracts; developing RFP’s including food & beverage, retail, specialty retail, advertising, and rental vehicles, as well as the day-to-day operations.  The concessions program generated approximately $90M in gross revenues in 2016. Javier specializes in thinking out-of-the-box to develop venues like Alaska theme restaurants and stores.

He has 21 years’ experience in concessions management. Prior to joining the Airport, Javier performed similar duties as the Marketing Director for the Anchorage Parking Authority for 10 years.  Javier is no stranger to public service.  He promoted, directed and managed the Saturday Market from 1996 – 1998, when the Market received Executive Proclamation from then Governor Tony Knowles as “The Place to Be” for residents and tourist. 

Javier holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with emphasis on Computer Science from Lubbock Christian University and has a certified member designation from American Association of Airport Executives. He grew up in Anchorage from the age of 5 and graduated from Bartlett high school in 1982.

Cancelation Note: There is a 48 hour cancelation policy. To receive a full refund, registration must be canceled no less than two business days prior to the date of the event. No refunds will be given after this date. All registrations are transferable to another person upon your request.
